Aerodynamics

To reduce the air drag of the vehicle, the shell encloses the vehicle completely. Only three small slits are left at the bottom for the wheels, as well as a small openeing for the engine exhaust. The driver drives the vehicle in a fully reclined position to reduce the frontal area. Two panels made of acrylic and carbon fiber can be removed from the top of the vehicle for driver and engine access. The final shape of the vehicle was realized after more than ten design iterations in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software.
